Go ahead and set Distribution to Gaussian, and turn the Monochromatic check box off. And you want to crank the Amount value, believe it or not, up to 200%, we want a ton of noise here. And then, go up to the Filter menu and choose Noise, and then choose Add Noise, which is going to allow us to add some variation to this green color. Now, we're going to want to apply a couple of filters as editable Smart Filters, so right-click inside the image window using your Rectangular Marquee Tool, and choose Convert to Smart Object. And then I'll press Alt-Backspace or Option-Delete on the Mac in order to fill the active layer with the foreground color. And then go ahead and change the hue value to 90 degrees, which is green, and then I'll take the saturation value down to 25%, and I'll take the brightness value up to 66% in order to create this dull, sort of olive-looking color right here. Now, up here in the Color panel, which you should see in the upper-right corner of the screen, go ahead and bring up the fly-out menu and make sure you're working with the HSB Sliders. I'll name the layer "green," and I'll click OK. All right, now that I can better see the Layers panel, I'll go ahead and click on the Background layer to make it active, and I'll create a new layer by pressing Control-Shift-N, or Command-Shift-N on the Mac. And I'm going to switch to my One-on-One space, if you want to find out how to create this workspace for yourself, then you can check out my "Panels and workspaces" movie, which is found in Chapter 2 of my course Photoshop One-on-One Fundamentals. Now, if you've been working along with me, the first thing you want to do is switch away from the 3D workspace. In this movie, we'll take that 3D, double-headed battle axe that we created in the previous movies, and we'll set it against this grassy background in classic, big-pixel Minecraft style.
